U12s Stockport vs Cheadle.

U12s Stockport vs Cheadle.

Another mild day of sunshine and Lacrosse, playing at home today in Stockport against our old rivals, Cheadle.
This was always going to be a tough match for our team, without losing a regular midfielder Dan Teal, who has broken his hand, so a get well soon to him, from our team and don`t forget your kit next week.*

On to the match and without going into too much detail, we lost.
A few people said to me after the match, who didn’t actually watch it, “what went wrong, you usually win?"
The answer is that Cheadle had almost enough players for two teams with an overall more experienced team, which plays a huge part in U12s Lacrosse.
Just in case anyone was wondering, we worked out the average age of our 15 most regular players and it is 9.8 years old.
This team is still learning how to play the game, so the focus cannot be just on about winning at this stage when playing an U10s team in an U12s league.
A really big welcome to our newest player Finn, who who got stuck in on the pitch today and who hopefully enjoyed his first match of many for Stockport.
Well done to all the players who turned up and played today and who worked hard and enjoyed the game.
Final score Stockport 2 Cheadle 20
