We welcomed a team from Brooklands, who with just 9 players, a decision was made to play 8-a-side, which gave the lads from Stockport 4 players on the bench to be interchanging things.
It started off well, winning at face, moving the ball around and before long Rhys got on the end of a Hugo assist and we find ourselves 1 up. Although not all one way traffic in Q1, we did manage to defend well, and left the quarter 4-0 to the good. Q2, started as Q1 finished, and with 2 more goals left us 6-0 up before Brooklands managed to get 3 on the break, with strong runs from their No 11, before Will H grabbed another before the break, leaving us 7-3 to the good.
Q3 Brooklands struck first, and then Stockport managed 4 without response.
Q4 Stockport struck first, and then Brooklands managed 2 before the end, leaving us the victors on the day 13-6.
Scorers today, Rhys 3, Will H 5, Luca, Cameron 2, Jay 2, but probably more important today was 7 of the goals were assisted, Hugo 3, Rhys 2, Cameron and Luca.
