With a delayed face off time of 11.15, to accommodate the opportunity for the boys to watch the Rugby World Cup Final.
With limited time for a warm up, our game got underway quickly, and efficiently with Mersey looking in better shape than the last time we played them. Winning at Face and moving the ball around our defence, but without any incisive play on goal, the defence were patient, waiting for their moment and seizing the ball. Straight down the other end and we were one up. Following this we were a little more decisive at face, and went on to register a 0-5 quarter for the boys in Blue.
Q2 was similar, with our defence being strong and patient and the once we gained possession we moved quickly with a good deal of excellence in front of goal, and a 1-4 quarter leaving ourselves 1-9 up at half time.
With lots of players getting game time, an coaches rotating the squad to great effect we finished the game with a 0-3 and a 1-3 quarter leaving us 2-15 to the good.
