U12s Stockport vs Mellor

U12s Stockport vs Mellor

It was a bizarre all seasons weather demonstration this morning, with even the goals being blown over, during set up numerous times between the heavy shadows of clouds and sunny spells, as well as the main Stockport Lacrosse club gazebo going for a trip across the pitch.
It was home to Mellor this morning with their club name spoken with dread as always.

Q1.Stockport started off positively well scoring the first goal, but Mellor soon equalised, Jacob scored again, but again Mellor equalised, but from then on it was all down hill.
Just as Mellor`s "Passing game" is far superior to Stockport, with their more accurate passing and convincing catching, their team ran our young team ragged. Despite the Stockport keeper making numerous saves it was Q1. 5.2 to Mellor.

Q2. A lot of Stockport`s efforts became wasted once the ball had been won from poor passing into space, or even back to the opposition. it seemed like our team were forever chasing the ball, even resorting to kicking it around at one point, Stockport never really settled with the ball, unable to hold it up, they were quick to give it away all too easily. Mellor scored 6 goals in this quarter, with no reply from Stockport.

Q3. Mellor managed another 5 goals in this quarter, again with no reply from Stockport, with Jacob struggling to contain his frustration, having a few words with the team, it was becoming difficult maintaining a positive attitude.

Q4. Overall Mellor passed the ball quickly and accurately, shooting relentlessly at the Stockport Keeper, adding yet another 5 goals to the score. However it should not reflect just how well the keeper played this match and the numerous shots he actually saved, so well done Josh. I counted sixteen saves. Finn back from the U14s also showing a lot more confidence now with some great checks and a stronger presence on the pitch.

Final Score Stockport 2  Mellor 21.
Goal Scorers. Jacob B 2.
Assists Jacob Morris.
