U12s Stockport vs Cheadle Hulme/Norbury

U12s Stockport vs Cheadle Hulme/Norbury
Plate semi Final.

This was the runners up tournament from the Onondaga cup known as the plate, the semi final today again being played against Cheadle Hulme/Norbury at Cheadle Hulme which promised to be a good game as was the last match, a league match two weeks ago, a nice dry and mild morning for it too.

Q1. Stockport started off well scoring first and looked comfortable for a while despite missing the target on a few occasions, but still scoring three goals in this quarter to Cheadle Hulme/Norbury`s 2 with a lot of loud support from the Cheadle Hulme/Norbury supporters finishing Q1 3. 2. to Stockport

Q2. Cheadle Hulme/Norbury upped their game and pace, capitalising from Stockport`s lack of focus and an all to easy loss of possession from careless passing scoring six goals from the edges of the crease. Henry scored two goals from great individual runs, but Stockport`s progressive and accurate passing game just wasn’t there like it has been in previous weeks and Cheadle took up a lot of the possession finishing Q2 8.5 to Cheadle Hulme/Norbury

Q3. This quarter was a fairly even with Stockport fighting their way back into the game, but a lot of shots off target despite Henry and Jacob both Scoring. Again careless possession give aways and poorly executed ground balls left Stockport chasing Cheadle Hulme/Norbury with the ball and they managed another 4 finishing Q3 12. 7 to Cheadle Hulme/ Norbury

Q4. Stockport found their game faces in this quarter finally fighting and hustling well for the ball with a goal from Dan Teal and another 2 from Jacob B. But it was all too late, as we were too many goals behind from previous quarters. This was overall quite an entertaining match, but a match we could of done much better in as per previous matches with the right focus and the right attitudes and despite the obvious age differences of some of the players in each team, Stockport have demonstrated that they are a much more capable team.

Final Score  14. 10  to Cheadle Hulme/Norbury

Goal Scorers Dan Teal 1 Henry 3 and Jacob B 6

Assists, Dan Teal, Henry, Tom Smith and Euan Mills
