The score line did not reflect the game. On the scoreboard Norbury ran out winners but Stockport U11s put in another amazing performance. Enthusiasm and skill levels are constantly growing right across the team as the girls take massive leaps and bounds every week. Lauren did an excellent job coaching and was extremely pleased with the start to finish attitude of the whole team.

Q1 - Amelie G was in the keeper position again for the first half (struggling to keep her out of the goal) and did another sterling job making three massive stick saves, much to the crowds delight. The first draw was won quickly by Mia F and she quickly had Stockport on the scoreboard and chalked up her first of the three. Mia soon snagged her second with another well placed pacey shot. It was a closely fought quarter which Stockport should have won if it wasn't for two shots that rang off the pipes.

Q2 - Norbury claimed this quarter 4 - 0. We had plenty of opportunities up front show casing some stylish attacks with great movement and passing of the ball. Each week the team is getting more and more comfortable throwing the ball around and this showed in the two assists that Mia F and Jess B completed. The defence was being tested as Norbury drove forward but the girls stood strong and Millie, Carys, Lotta, Isla and Lucy all put in solid games showing that they are learning from training and played great positional defence.

Q3 - Fran and Jess B helped make this a level scoring quarter bagging one each with nifty goals, both getting a round of applause from the sidelines. Beau made her mark at Stockport and put in an excellent performance getting stuck in at the defensive end, fighting for ground balls and taking up key positions up front. Mia J followed suit and slotted into the team nicely and very bravely took a shift in goal - great team player!!

Q4 - Daisy and Jess E continually demonstrated strong ball carrying skills, speed and a keen eye to throw a clever pass while Effy 'The Hoover' H came up trumps again on numerous ground balls. Amy T got into the mixer offensively linking into a couple of passing plays and hunting for loose balls. The team continued to the very end and Mia F grabbed another classy goal showing that the U11s are full of determination to the final whistle.

A one sided score scoreboard but a fantastic game to watch and admire the development in the team. Thanks to the referee's for a well managed game and we are now looking forward to the Christmas 8's!!! I wonder how many pictures Nade will take at the 8-a-side tournament? Only 52 taken in one half this week.
