U14s Travel to Brooklands

As the only junior boys team representing Stockport, it was a pleasure to be travelling to Brooklands (who had their own U14 team for the first time in years), and with a number of new players in our ranks, we were hoping for a great game.
Statto was back to provide the detail in my match report.  With a strong line up, we started well, dominating at face, moving the ball quickly, but uncharacteristically this season we were a little wasteful in front of goal, only putting away 5 out of our first 14 shots, giving us a Q1 lead of 0-5.
Q2 brought about a more clinical quarter, giving us a further 8 goals, with Brooklands managing to get 1 at the other end (I'm told it was deflected of a defenders stick),  Leaving us 1-13 at half time.
With such a dominant scoreline ensuing, we were able to mix things up.  Our usual attack line, came into midfield and they looked like the enjoyed it, and we rotated things regularly, with another 2 goals from Finlay, and another from Isaac, left us 1-19up at the end of Q3.
Q4 was a little scrappy, but it was important to keep the game relevant, and keep playing through to the end.  Brooklands managed to get another in Q4, leaving the game finishing 2-19.
Scorers today Jacob B (5), Jay (3), Hugo (2), Finlay (2), Rhys (3), Joel, George P, James and Isaac.  Not as many goals assisted this week, but 6 nonetheless, 5 from Hugo and 1 from Luca.

Are we Ready?

Waiting to have an impact

Not sure he will win the ground ball (with his stick that way round)

5 Assists

Looks like he enjoyed midfield today

Good understanding between James and Wil in the heart of defence

Great handling skills on display

Another goal today

He started here, and only one thing on his mind

Finished here, but should have passed
