U14s away at Brooklands

First trip to Brooklands for the U14s, and we weren't sure what to expect.  Playing in the same vein as the last few weeks in the first quarter just didn't cut it though, and Brooklands got goal after goal past our defenders before the boys started to wake up.  With score at 7-2 at the end of Q1, there was a lot to do!

And, they did it... Narrowing the goal difference in Q2, the blues only lost the quarter by one goal, and the score was 11-5 at half time.  Back on the pitch for Q3 the blues turned the tables and held Brooklands to just 1 goal to our 5 in the quarter.  The fourth quarter was the most gripping with each team fighting to stay on top. With less than 3 minutes left in the game, Ed scored to take the score to 13-14, but Brooklands got one right back to bring it even with little time left on the clock.  In the final minute of the game, Mike managed to score, giving Stockport a hard-fought victory in one of the best games of the season.  Great game.
