U12s Stockport vs Boardman and Eccles 

U12s Plate quarter final.

A trip to Eccles for the quarter final of the plate tournament today, with a number of players nursing colds as well as some parents. Fortunately the weather let up and we had a clear morning  to get on with the match. Still a great turnout for this match with Stockport fielding 15 players.

Q1. Boardman and Eccles started off strong in the first quarter with a very loud and animated coach behind them, they scored a first goal and then a second leading 2.0 for a while until Stockport got it together, maybe a little rust from a weeks break from the unplayable weather, but they soon equalised with consecutive goals from Jacob B and then Dan Teal ending Q1 2 all.

Q2. Stockport bounced right back in the second quarter and dominated the play fighting to win every loose ball, managing 4 goals from Dan Teal,  Ethan and two more from Jacob B, during this turn around quarter, playing down hill on the very uneven Monton pitch. ending Q2. 6.2 to Stockport.

Q3. Boardman and Eccles started to feel the pressure and lost momentum they started with only managing one Goal this quarter while stockport scored five Goals from players Dan teal, Jacob B Ethan and Henry.

Q4. With a lot of substitutions allowing younger players more time in this quarter Boardman and Eccles came back with three goals, but all in all it was a fairly evenly matched  game hopefully enjoyed by all.
