U12s Stockport vs Heaton Mersey.
Another difficult week for our Stockport U12s team as we visited Heaton Mersey with another great turnout for our Stockport team with 16 players, while even better, Heaton mersey managed 18 players!.
With winter just around the corner now as temperatures have dropped this week, so with extra layers required by all our young players.
On to the game and Heaton Mersey starting off strong, scoring first and then progressing well throughout the game by winning a lot of contention for the ground balls.
Q1. Stockport 1 Heaton mersey 4
Both teams appeared fairly even with a special mention to Finn Morris who scored his first goal as a Stockport Lacrosse player and so we`re hoping for another 3 next week!
Q2 Stockport 3 Heaton mersey 7
A few good chances in the 3rd quarter, with some good saves by Heaton Mersey and some Stockport shots off target also. Some quick running from Ethan and Euan and Henry running the ball out of defence with a view to attacking also. No goals by either teams in this quarter, with the Stockport keeper keeping the ball out on numerous occasions and really Stockport missed a good chance to get back into the game.

Stockport seemed to give up hope and run out of steam defending against Heaton Mersey who scored 6 goals in this quarter as Stockport struggled to gain possession and to keep possession once they did.
