The winning team!

Displaying medals and trophy

just before the presentation

We did it!

this thing's getting heavy!

The Final v Poynton A

So we came full circle to come up against the team we started with! A slighty slower pace at this end of the day, but still a great game to watch, with some good lacrosse from both sides.
We edged ahead to win the game - and the tournament!
(photos not great as most were blurred in the excitement of watching the game!)
Final Score - Stockport 6 : Poynton 3

Altogether we scored 48 goals, only conceding 11 throughout the competition!
Top goal scorer was Michael Pomfret with a total of 22 of those goals! well done Mike.

Semi Final vs Poynton B

With the most points of the day, Stockport got to play the 4th placed team - Poynton B.  With a quick goal from some tough opposition, the boys had a tough game and fought hard to get ahead.  They did though, and earned a place in the final.  With Poynton A knocking out Timperley in the other semi - we were all set to meet the team we'd played at the start of the competition!
Final Score - Stockport 7 : Poynton B 4

Game 3 vs Cheadle Hulme

Third game in and another big goal difference for the Stockport side.  On a roll now, Cheadle Hulme didn't get much chance to reply -
Final Score - Stockport 9 : Cheadle Hulme 1

Another goal for Thomas today

one of a few for Max

That C/Hulme player looks happy, considering...

Game 2 v Boardman & Eccles

The second game of the day for Stockport was a bit of a different kettle of fish to the first with Ben seeing his first clean sheet of the day, with not that much to do up at the defending end. With every goal meaning a point in the tournament, Stockport just kept scoring -
Final Score - Stockport 14 : B&E 0

Game 1 vs Poynton A

The opening game of the tournament for Stockport was probably their most exciting and demanding of the day.  Both sides were ready to battle it out, and it was a close game with both sides fighting to stay ahead. It was exhausting just for the spectators!
Final Score - Stockport 5 : Poynton 3
Push him out!

U14s at home v Mellor

First really frosty start and Mellor's 10-man squad came across for the first time this season.  Whilst Stockport didn't really play to their best ability, Mellor did a great job of holding their own.

Final Score:  Stockport 12 : Mellor 4
Quarter score: 3-0 / 3-1 / 3-1 / 3-2
Next fixture: away at Heaton Mersey

U12s
In a change to the original fixture, the U12s travelled over to Cheadle, for the second time this season. It was a very competitive game, in spite of the score line, with 6 scorers for Stockport.
Final Score - Cheadle 6 : Stockport 19
Quarter scores: 2-7 / 1-5 / 0-7 / 3-0
